Dennis Edwards’ Death Investigated

Police are looking into the death of Temptations singer, Dennis Edwards.

Edwards passed away about a week ago right before his 75th birthday.

His widow Brenda Edwards said he died from complications due to meningitis but that doesn’t seem to reflect the coroner’s findings.

According to one report, the investigation is "open and ongoing" due to the fact that an autopsy failed to determine Edwards' cause and manner of death.

Another report says before the 74-year-old died an investigator with the Healthcare Consortium of Illinois filed a request for an emergency protection order.

His wife released this statement:

“I loved Dennis and we were married for 18 years,” she said. “I would have never done anything to harm him. These allegations are false and defamatory and will be proven as such. Until this is all over, I have no further comment.”
